Short Version (for when you are running out the door): I offer online estate planning for busy parents who need to have their wills prepared, name guardians for their minor children, provide for a trustee to manage property left to their young children and make sure that their families will be protected in the event of a crisis. These are the same services I offer to my clients who come to my office, it’s just that our meetings and consultations are done via email and phone, for your convenience. And you don’t need to live near my office to take advantage of this. (You do need to live in Massachuetts.)
Fees range from $1,200.00 – $2,400.00+. Just email me at Leanna@HamillLawOffice.com to get started. Or call my office at 781-749-2284.
If you have a little more time, keep reading.
The service was great. Leanna reviewed all the facts and options, and we trusted her opinions. We were able to quickly and confidently get what we wanted. She was also very patient with my many (and often far-fetched) questions.…Really, I cannot recommend her enough!~ J., Estate Planning Client
Longer Version (for when you have a minute to sit):
Who Is It For?
This plan is for the Very Busy Person. In between raising your kids, working in the home or out, and getting all the laundry done you aren’t quite sure when you’ll find the time to meet with an attorney (and coordinate that meeting with your spouse or partner, your children’s schedules and emergencies that come up), fill out the 10 page form before the meeting with the attorney, then come back later for another meeting with the attorney to sign the legal documents.
You bank online, keep in touch with your family online, log into your office computer from home to work online and now you can get your legal planning done online by a trusted local attorney (not an out of state online service run by non-attorneys who have a giant disclaimer telling you to consult with an attorney before signing all the paperwork you just downloaded.)
You are still getting all the value of my expertise and experience, it’s just that most of the up front work is done on-line and by telephone which makes it easier for you and allows for more flexibility in scheduling times to talk.
Oh, and if you don’t have children of your own but you have beloved nieces and nephews that you want to provide for (and you want to make sure that you are protected in the event of incapacity), this plan can definitely work for you. (I am a proud Auntie myself.)
Who Isn’t It For?
If you have a child with special needs, that requires more customized planning. We can still get started with an on-line or telephone consultation, but depending on your child’s needs, the fees may be higher.
If your estate is over the estate tax limit, this plan won’t work (but I have a plan that will). I’ll let you know after you send in your intake form if that is the case.
Likewise if you are the type of person who likes in person meetings, wants more office consultation time to really work through your plan, need to come up with a way to keep Grandma’s summer home in the family for generations, want more time in the office to really figure out who to appoint in various roles or just aren’t as comfortable conducting business online, then the traditional estate planning meeting is for you. Give me a call at 781-749-2284 and we’ll get you started with that.
